"This museum is a gem. Beautifully curated, fun and fabulous artifacts. The docent had lived in the area since she was a child and was a wealth of knowledge and could not have been more helpful or gracious. We wonder what will happen to museums like this as the older generation really gets too old to staff them. It covers lots of history of the area from the native Americans thru WWII and into the 80’s."
This museum does a very good job of covering a lot of local history in a small place. The exhibits run the gambit all the local history from the native Americans, to the westward expansion, to today. No one group is excluded for the sake of space. There are many interesting artifacts and the displays are very informative. The museum is very clean and excellently curated.
We decided to check out this museum since we drive past it often. What a pleasant surprise. It is much larger than it looks and has an incredible amount of information about the area. The exhibits are professionally done and interesting. Worth the $3 per person for sure.

We really enjoyed our visit to this museum. It is a small museum, but it's packed full of great historical items! The staff is SUPER friendly, Very reasonable admission prices.. we paid $5 myself (adult), $3 for mom (senior) and my 12 y/o son was free! Gift shop is are very reasonably priced. We spent around 2 hours here. You could make this a quick stop or spend several hours!
The museum is top quality and has so much information about the area. There is something for everyone and you will not be disappointed. You can visit the museum yourself or join a group led by a volunteer. We spent 1.5 hours and are looking forward to go back again.
Definitely worth your time to stop and check this out. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Exhibits were unbelievable for small community. I've seen museums in larger towns/cities that were not as well laid out and as detailed. Easy in/out. Good parking. Lovely old, original building.
